Poem: Strawberry Kisses

Strawberry Kisses

We reclined on a Sunday afternoon,
sharing the juiciness of
sweet and sour berries
and exchanging discreet kisses
in my parlour.

A wave of chill and warmth
washed over my body
leaving a tingling, calm sensation.

As our mouths embraced,
our heavy breath
reminded me of the
whisper
of distant winter winds
when we dug each other out
from the lonely drifts.

A sweet, distant memory
mingling
and melting to
summery skin caresses
and the gentle twirling
of your warm and wet
strawberry tongue.
