Finally! The Ottawa Transit strike is over


It’s about frikkin’ time.  What a nightmare.  At least i got some writing in over the past few weeks – writing to MP’s, ministers, city councillors, posting rants and sharing stories on the Ottawa Transit strike survivors Facebook group.

heads, the city and its transit union agreed Thursday evening to send
all the outstanding issues in the seven-week OC Transpo strike to
binding arbitration."

"The city and union reached a tentative agreement on Thursday to end Ottawa’s transit strike.

The City of Ottawa and Amalgamated Transit Union Local 279 have both
agreed to send their dispute to binding arbitration with no conditions
on all outstanding issues, Mayor Larry O’Brien said at a news
conference Thursday, the 51st day of the strike."  Continued here
