8 seconds of solar powered joy

Some days, all I need is something whimsical and colourful to soothe my sore, dry eyes pulling me away from the computer screen.

This little plastic fella was a gift from a family member the fall of 2011.  He / it provides a pleasant distraction and initiates conversation from passers-by.  Sometimes though, the exuberant clunk, clunk noise affects my concentration, and he is soon exiled to a dark corner.

Just think what we could accomplish with renewable energy projects if we put our grey matter to work on a larger scale.  The only thing I can harness from this small distraction is a few moments of joy.  That can be a good thing during a long, challenging day.
