You know when it gets so hot and humid that you don’t feel like doing anything and you resist any bodily contact?
That’s me during the humid stretches that plague the Ottawa Valley – and we haven’t approached the dog days of summer yet. It’s too bad that I cannot enjoy the embrace of another human being. I can’t even stand the feel of my own sweaty, sticky skin!
As for the other sustenance requirements, it’s cold cuts, egg salad and greens. Momma’s not turning on that stove.

We’re going through a bit of a heat wave in Ottawa this long weekend. All the build-up and tension will peak then release much-desired rain showers just in time for Canada Day. It’s that other tension that I hope subsides soon else “hot mess” will have a new definition and poster child.
Happy Canada Day, if you are in a position or patriotic mood to celebrate it. Otherwise, saunter over to this other blog to read a refreshing excerpt from my novel.
Thanks for dropping by and not disturbing the Tabby.
