Oh to be a cat right now

I enjoy the freedom of expressing my thoughts and complaints in written form.

That way, I’m not interrupted and I’m not annoying people with my loud cat lady rants.

I’m a little frustrated right now in that there is no hot water in our apartment building.  I need a shower. I have places to go and people to see.  The sink is full of dirty dishes.

As a consolation, while investing unproductive time on the Internet this morning, I tripped upon an interesting article about blogging and how it can help people gain confidence, improve writing skills and make new friends.  I concur with most of the points.

This blog’s mascot, Miss Geneva Tabby was not very sympathetic about my hot water woes. GenevaBath1 GenevaBath2 GenevaBath3comic Thanks for dropping by.  Don’t stand too close to me though.

If you like my writing style, you’re welcome to read my pretentious novel

Oh to be a cat! Loved and self cleaned. I hope you have hot water. Just showing my age a bit but I remember when baths–no showers then– were planned and hair was washed only once a week. I can’t imagine how we coped. I hate being out of hot water. Great to see you last night.

Thanks, Susan. I remember back in the day when Mom or older siblings gave the smaller kids their Saturday night baths. They would start with the “less dirty” of the batch and work their way through the bath water, changing it when warranted and adding two kids at a time when necessary.

It was great to see you too and get caught up on accomplishments, projects and things while enjoying our slow dinner.
