When you have a fear, it’s sometimes best to address it one step at a time.
Sometimes it’s even better if you’re armed with a camera, documenting the event one shaky photograph at a time. It also helps to chew A LOT of gum – the fruity, comforting kind; none of that intense, high-octane crap.
It had been a while (14 years) since I last travelled by air. This recent flight was not on a large, comfortable plane. This one did not have in-flight bar service or a washroom!
Regardless, the flight from Ottawa to North Bay then Sudbury was rather uneventful except when I broke out into a sweat shortly after reaching the destination. Thank you to the professionals at Bearskin Airlines.
Enjoy a little slide show, beginning with the cats suspecting something was different early one morning. It continues with some window view shots before and after take-off from Ottawa then a landing in North Bay. I changed seats after our pit stop, moving back a bit so I could get a better view as we took off then headed for Sudbury. I arrived safely and was greeted by family.
On to the next adventure, one small step (or leap) at a time.
